Business Analyst (Level 31)
- Type: Full Time
- Department: Delivery
- Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh (Hybrid / In-Office)
- Experience Level: Early-career (0–2 years)
- Compensation: ৳300,000 to ৳600,000
The Mission
We are hiring a Business Analyst at Level 31: an early-career analyst with strong problem-solving ability, clear communication, high learning velocity, and the potential to grow quickly in a demanding delivery environment.
You will work closely with clients, product stakeholders, engineers, designers, and project leads to understand business problems, clarify requirements, document workflows, support delivery planning, and help teams ship software that solves real operational needs. You will not simply take notes or pass messages between teams — you will understand the problem, reason through tradeoffs, identify gaps, and turn unclear requirements into actionable delivery artifacts.
At Ternary, strong Business Analysts are trusted early, exposed to real client and product problems early, and expected to grow quickly. This role is for people who want a steep curve.
What you'll do
- Work with clients, internal stakeholders, and delivery teams to gather, clarify, and document business requirements
- Translate business problems into structured user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications
- Support product discovery, stakeholder interviews, requirement workshops, and client-facing discussions
- Analyze workflows, operational processes, user journeys, and system behaviors to identify gaps, dependencies, and edge cases
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure requirements are clear, feasible, and aligned with the intended business outcome
- Help manage scope by distinguishing between must-have requirements, nice-to-have features, assumptions, risks, and open questions
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, QA support, UAT coordination, and release preparation
- Review delivered features against acceptance criteria and support issue triage during testing and production rollout
- Create clear documentation for product behavior, business logic, workflows, system rules, and client-facing decisions
- Develop the ability to reason about software systems end-to-end, not just isolated screens or tickets
Who you are (Must-Haves)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Clear written and verbal communication in English
- Ability to understand business problems and convert them into organized requirements
- Comfort working with ambiguity, asking clarifying questions, and identifying missing information
- Basic understanding of software development, web applications, APIs, databases, or product delivery workflows
- Ability to write user stories, acceptance criteria, meeting notes, requirements documents, and functional specifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to catch inconsistencies, edge cases, and unclear requirements
- Comfort collaborating with engineers, designers, project managers, and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to read documentation carefully, learn independently, and solve problems without excessive hand-holding
- Strong ownership mentality and willingness to be accountable for delivery outcomes
Nice-to-Haves
- Prior internship, academic, freelance, or project experience in business analysis, product management, software delivery, QA, consulting, or operations
- Familiarity with Agile delivery, Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and UAT processes
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Notion, Confluence, Figma, Google Workspace, Slack, or similar platforms
- Understanding of user journeys, wireframes, process mapping, data flows, and system workflows
- Exposure to API documentation, database concepts, admin portals, dashboards, or SaaS platforms
- Experience working with engineering teams or participating in software project delivery
- Familiarity with QA testing, bug reporting, test cases, or release validation
- Good business sense across domains such as fintech, healthcare, logistics, enterprise software, marketplaces, or operational systems
- Evidence of strong documentation habits, structured thinking, and attention to detail
